We have had an eventful week so far. Paul and Colt Murphy made a stop here on Oahu as they started their trek from American Samoa to all points Mainland. They arrived on Monday morning and spent their days seeing the sights and stayed with us for two nights.
Liam and Colt hit it off right away. Liam was thrilled to have someone near to his own age and size and even though Colt is seven his skills as a great big brother are evident. He was amazingly tolerant of Liam climbing all over him and eating food off of his plate. They played and laughed together with the ease that only kids can muster. At one point Colt asked Katie if he could start calling Liam “Leon.” Not really sure why, but the desire for a name change was short lived. When it came time for Paul and Colt to leave early Wednesday morning, Colt was very concerned that Liam was still asleep and that they would not get the chance to say goodbye. Katie woke Liam up and the two fast friends said a proper farewell.
Paul and I even managed to squeeze in a little time to throw the Frisbee around. Paul’s skills with the disk are far superior to mine, but he did not seem to mind chasing down my many errant throws.
Needless to say, we were thrilled to have visitors and were sad to see them go.
Something else happened this week…hmm…let me see if I can remember…oh yeah…
Katie, Liam and I are currently preparing ourselves to welcome another member to our family. That’s right! Katie is 12 weeks pregnant! The due date is 20 December. We already have our anniversary on the 21st, Liam’s birthday on the 22nd, not to mention Christmas, so our December will get that much more fun. We feel truly blessed to have another baby on the way. Our big problem right now is that we have no solid names for a girl…we have several great boy names, but this baby could end up being named Baby Girl Reed. We are open to suggestions, so if you have one…send it our way.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! The last time we saw the two of you I wondered if maybe Katie was expecting, but I didn't want to say anything. :) Glad to hear that the critical 12 week mark as been met and hopefully any morning sickness is past.
Girl names, huh? I have always like Alayna. I'll have to think of some more to send your way. :)
Thanks for leaving a post... I was beginning to wonder exactly what Paul and Colt were up to in Hawaii. His email to us was very descriptive... "We are here. - Paul" OH, and congratulations!
